The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic is a self-administered National Government entity subject to the provisions of Charter and other related legal rules. The National Government shall guarantee the commitments undertaken by the Bank.

The head office of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic located in the capital city of the Argentine Republic. The Bank may establish agencies and appoint correspondents both at home and abroad.

The purpose of the Bank is to promote –within the framework of its powers and the policies set by the National Government– monetary and financial stability, employment, and economic development with social equality.
